Decent Cocktails is run by Decent Espresso Ltd (Hong Kong). This page says what we keep about you when you use Decent Cocktails: this website, its API, and its MCP server for AI assistants such as Claude (https://de.decentespresso.com/cocktails/mcp).

Without an account

You can read every recipe, search and use the API and the MCP server without an account. We don't ask who you are. Like any website, our server logs each request (your IP address, the page or tool asked for, the time and your browser or app) for security, to stop abuse (requests are rate-limited per IP address) and to fix problems.

With a free decentespresso.com account

• Your account: your email address, your name and your password, as for any decentespresso.com account.
• What you save in Decent Cocktails: Your Bar (the ingredients you have, by location), your Wishlist, the cocktails you mark as made and when, your notes on them, and your display preferences.
• Connected apps: when you connect an AI assistant to your account, we keep a sign-in token for it, with the app's name and when it was last used. The app never sees your password: you sign in on our own page. A connected app can only see and change your bar and your lists; it can't see your orders, addresses, messages or anything else in your account.

How we use it

Only to run Decent Cocktails for you: to show what you can make, keep your lists, and keep your account secure. We don't sell your data, show advertising, or share it with anyone else, except where the law requires it.

AI assistants

When you use Decent Cocktails through an AI assistant, the assistant receives what our tools return (recipes, and when you're signed in, your bar and lists) so it can answer you. What the assistant does with your conversation is covered by its own privacy policy (for Claude: Anthropic's privacy policy). We don't receive your conversations, only the tool calls the assistant makes.

How long we keep it

Your account and what you've saved stay until you remove them or ask us to delete your account. A connected app's sign-in lasts until you disconnect the app or change your password. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting.

Your choices

• Edit or empty Your Bar and your lists at any time on Your Bar.
• Disconnect an AI assistant in that assistant's settings (in Claude: Settings > Connectors).
• To see what we hold about you, or to have your account deleted, contact us.
